Antonio Esfandiari vs. Ben Grundy — superstar bluff!

Antonio is the f**** daddy. He smelled weakness from Ben Grundy in this hand from the William Hill Poker Grand Prix Season 2 Finals, and was he ever spot on. After getting re-raised with his open-ender, he moves all-in against Grundy who actually had the best hand with his ace high — but obviously a no-brain fold for him with both players holding about the same amount of chips in the tournament…

No doubt about it: this was an all-star all-in move. No draws out there, so no reason for Grundy to put Antonio on a semi-bluff — excellent poker. I love it when I can show Antonio’s pure genious.

Antonio “The Magician” vs. Phil “The Unabomber”

I don’t fully understand why the people over at GSN decided to let Antonio talk about this particular hand between him and Phil Laak on their website — but I guess it’s probably because my man Antionio likes to talk about beating the Unabomber out of a pot.

Daniel Negreanu (wearing his $1000 south point chip shirt) pretty much makes a good point calling on a bad play — but still, I believe Phil did the right thing. He tried to take the pot on the flop, and decided not to risk losing any more money in a hand he could have been drawing dead in.
